- Olive oil
It's always a good idea to have a hot oil hair treatment at least once a week. What has worked for me is combining in equal proportion coconut oil, almond oil and olive/Castor oil, 1capful of each, the quantity would vary depending on the length of your hair. Heating the combination of oils to a little over lukewarm would be beneficial. Massage the oils into your scalp and preferably leave it on for at least an hour or over. Wrapping a warm towel around the head would have added benefit of the oils penetrating deep beneath! Shampoo and condition your hair. While the hair is still damp, pour about pea sized leave-in-conditioner on to your palm, adding about 1/4th teaspoon of olive oil and equally 1/4th teaspoon of lemon juice. Massage it well to your damp hair. Air dry and style as usual. The combination of leave in conditioner, olive oil and lemon juice gives the hair strength and has a natural sheen!
