My inspiration to start a blog comes from Lime and Life. To me the word Lime is synonymous with freshness, luster, vitality, vigor and much more just as in Life!

Having led a very active life right through growing up years, marriage and family life, and now as very fondly I call myself a "lady of leisure." I wanted to put to best use my time and creativity, thus this blog is the the brainchild of my longing to give shape to a thought that was all engulfing. This is an endeavor to create a blog that would encompass information under one umbrella namely under Food,Home,Style!
How I wish I could go back in time and re-experience watching and learning from my maternal and paternal grandmother, mom and my mom-in-law, not to forget my family, my friends over the years who shared with me their recipes and tips, the finer nuances of real traditional Indian cooking!!!
On a very recent travel from Canada to US overheard a fellow passenger talking to her companion about her visit to India and her love for Indian food and Indian saris, her remark "I have yet to find a restaurant in Toronto that serves biryani like they do in India - nothing like it." I had a strong urge to turn around and speak to her but felt it would be impolite and intruding. This blog is a modest effort to help my fellow travel companion and many like her find information about Indian cooking, Indian fashion and tips on home living. Hope you all enjoy!
